Traveling Skin

when you come to bed after my lights are out,
the car door slammed,  the wooden steps walked up,
the swish of your overcoat landed on the sofa
and the ice cubes dropped into the glass,
it’s the traveling on your skin you bring
that makes me see the tarmac lights

Today's prompt:  Write something about a smell.
